MISSION STATEMENT
Is to focus on the advancement of students, with skills in or ambition for allied health care, while providing motivation and an educational future for each student, regardless of the academic challenges they may encounter. We will provide the necessary learning environment and mentorship, so that each student would become an enthusiastic life long learner, equipped to succeed.

VISION STATEMENT
To provide sophisticated training in the allied health-career fields, to Trinidad and Tobago, and the other member nations of CARICOM. It is imperative that we work closely, not only within the private sector, but also with governmental authorities. In this way we will be able to provide educational opportunities and cooperation, which would redound to the benefit of all the peoples of our region.

ABOUT THE I.M.E.

The education, travel, practical and numerous experiences of a doctor who now specializes in Family Medicine, and carries the distinctive title of an astute businessman, has spawned the vision and mission which is mirrored in the cutting edge concepts and the establishment of The Institute of Medical Education.

The IME is a company registered and incorporated in the Republic of Trinidad and Tobago in 2004. It is designed to fill a niche which exists in the provision of training of allied health care personnel, especially since this vital opportunity exists, and the state intends to embark on a scheme to provide health insurance for the entire citizenry of our nation

It is indeed a fact that there are major gaps in the services needed in a nation that is committed to a vision of sophisticated health care by the year 2020, and our organization is convinced that we can raise the bar, by addressing some of the shortfalls, whilst contributing significantly to the overdue solutions needed to take our health care to the next level

We have received recognition and accreditation from the National Healthcareers Association of the United States, the first time that this organization has ever granted accreditation status to a school outside the United States of America. In fact we have the noble opportunity of being one of, if not the first, approved testing site for the NHA. Our institute has a sister school in Atlanta, Georgia, and, because the latter has performed with such distinction and excellence over the years, the NHA has developed the confidence to readily lend its prestigious name to a close relationship with the IME

As per Trinidad and Tobago legislation, we are actively pursuing local accreditation from the newly created Accreditation Council of Trinidad and Tobago. Since the certification and licensing of professional healthcare practitioners forms part of our objectives, registration and accreditation by the governing body ACTT, apart from being law, is one of the many hallmarks we will continue to strive for

Our performance will always be monitored, and be under constant review and scrutiny of the National Healthcareers Association of the USA, and the Accreditation Council of Trinidad and Tobago, to ensure that we always adhere to the standards and policies of those organizations. The IME will be responsible for the tutoring, training and externships of all students, however, the examinations will be set and marked by the NHA, who will also be granting diplomas, certificates etc., creating flexibility in job opportunities, throughout CARICOM/CSME, and the international markets

Our entire team, which includes a Board of Directors, CEO/Head of the Institute, Lecturers, affiliate Labs, Clinics etc., are all persons and organizations who have achieved the highest standards of education and training, and have performed par excellence, in their respective fields of endeavour.
